Asalaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullaah wa Barakaatu
I am a revert of 12 years; from the United Kingdom. I reverted in my teens and now in my 20s MashaAllaah I have really got into my deen properly. I am still on a journey; as we can always improve more; I am no scholar but just love to share what I know and have experienced about Islam; with the wider world. I am married with three small sons and apart from my writing; I am a housewife MashaAllaah. I enjoy crafts, sewing and designing Islamic clothing, cookery, going for drives in the countryside and cityscape alike; and travel. Also I love learning about different people and their cultures; from around the world. I performed Umrah quite recently and hope to perform Hajj in the near future InshaAllaah.
My aim with this blog is to educate and aid those new to Islam, with information that is upon the Qur’an and Sunnah and the methodology of the first few generations of Muslims; however this blog is not written by or for any particular organisation or another; it is just my humble aim to provide information that when I first reverted to this deen; I simply didn’t have access to. I believe the internet can be a useful tool; when used correctly and with the correct intention InshaAllaah. Recently I have come across many new sisters who don’t really have access to knowledge; especially sound knowledge relevant to those very new to Islam; I do hope this blog plays some part in bridging that gap InshaAllaah.
I enjoy writing a lot; and recently have got out of the habit; but have realised writing is a great release for any stresses and also it improves the intellect. I also like to write about fabrics, dressmaking, crafts, women’s issues and also write down all the recipes I concoct!
